Friday spoiled me, badly.

Friday spoiled me.  Not just in weather, but in bicycle commuting.  Smooth, skinny tires on dry pavement.  Efficiently slicing through just-above-freezing air.  Watching the sun as it started peeking over the horizon at the end of my journey.  Friday was full of memories that have been haunting me, and these last 2 days of riding The Goat to the bus stop have almost been painful.

Honestly, I thought about riding all the way today, despite the chill.  Headwinds are the only thing that put a crimp in my plan.  Well, and lack of preparation last night.  I would have gotten out pretty late this morning.  When is this stuff going to be over?  Morning lows are supposed to remain well below freezing until the weekend, so I guess I'm stuck on the bike/bus routine for the rest of the week.

Random Tunage:
Freezepop - Brainpower (Awesome.  Cheesy.  Just wow.)
Noma - Another Time

Sounds to me Friday's commute came at about the right time. You were ready for a pleasant ride and you enjoyed what Friday offered to the fullest.

I keep telling myself warmer days are coming. Your Friday commute proves there is a possibility.

You saw my post today ... I'm feeling exactly the same way. We've been talking about maybe going camping this weekend, but it looks like it's going to be awfully cold.
