Brisk this morning just a little below 40°F, and I should have worn my full-finger gloves. Yesterday's riding in fingerless gloves left me with seriously chapped fingertips. My lips are also chapped. I'm ready for this cold spell to be done with.
So, thanks to me crossing state lines between home and work to make a living, I actually owe Uncle Sam and Kansas Department of
There should be some really strong headwinds for the ride home, so I'll probably take the L Bus back into Johnson County this evening. I'm sore and tired from yesterday's bikey adventures, but I really need to get back into the swing of things.

ReplyDeleteThere's only one way to do it... ride the distance, man!
All in due time; Not tonight. Too windy. Seriously, I'm in pain right now, and not the good kind. Plus, I left my liner and I'm thinking denim shorts for a 15 mile ride would be a... bad thing.
ReplyDeleteOk, I suppose. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hear you re: "not the good kind." My leg is aching something serious. Oddly enough, only when I'm stationary. When I get up and move, I'm fine... once the sharp pains from being stationary settle down, that is.

Finally some really nice weather here. 60's all week. High 60's. Day off tomorrow and the Cape Cod canal is calling. "Riiiiide me". It sound a lot like my wife. Oh wait....
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say I love your blog! I follow it regularly. Love the pictures too. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteTaxes suck. But they are one of the 3 realities of life. If they don't tax your labor, they find other more creative ways to pick your pocket.
ReplyDeleteMan am I ever glad tax season is over. Marry a tax accountant and you will know what I mean.
I now have 3 straight days of riding in after a 4 month layoff. And yesterday I commuted. I am so slow and out of shape, it is a true comedy, but I have begun my comeback. Hopefully, my body will hang tough and not go the wrong way. Woke this AM with sniffles and a headache. Think I will take a break today. This immune system thing is a really odd situation to deal with.
