Auto Pilot

This was one of those mornings that I just don't really remember getting to work. I remember the light getting out to Quivira took forever to change. I remember getting coffee. I remember dropping off some mail downtown. That's it.

You'd think it's pretty hard to spend 50 minutes on a bicycle covering almost 15 miles. I was on auto pilot. Way too much on my mind this morning. I have no clue how many cars passed me or if there were any close calls. I probably shouldn't ride when I'm like this, but it's how I get around.

Random Tunage:
Linkin Park - In The End
Traci Lords - Father's Field

What's bad is when this happens while driving a car.

I'd say don't sweat it, but I know when I am like that, odd things have happened that I later regretted.

Man, this is nothing like you at all. I'm sorry things are so rough, and I hope it smooths over for you, and soon.

I had a similar situation yesterday on my long ride home. Traveling west on 79th heading towards Renner, a big truck was stopped in the oncoming lane. I was completely zoned out, and looked up just in time to see a car pass the truck coming at me as I was passing the truck. I'm sure there was probably somewhere in the neighborhood of a foot clearance between my left arm and their side mirror.
