And I always have a pair of arm warmers, a long sleeved synthetic undershirt, and spare socks in my toolbox at work. If the weather changes unexpectedly (a not uncommon occurrence in Oklahoma) I'll be a little more comfortable on the ride home.Ed Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02661476789768156794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37888568.post-50213695595913319972007-11-15T17:19:00.000-06:002007-11-15T17:19:00.000-06:00Above 45'F I usually will wear my regular gear if ...Above 45'F I usually will wear my regular gear if in the woods. On the road will depend on wind and sun conditions.

Below 45"F - I start with a long sleeve jersey with a windshell stuffed in the pocket. Maybe tights - again, on road v off road dictate two different approaches.

When it finally gets cold - around 25"F and lower, that's when I get serious. Winter tights, winter riding boots, poly wicking long john top with generous amounts of polar fleeece topped off with something water and rain resistant. Hands - Wells Lamont insulated lwather work gloves. Work great down to 15'F or so.

I have a balacava I wear under the helmet for my ears.

Basically if I can keep my feet, ears and hands warm, it almost doesn't matter what else I wear. Not really, but if one or more of them is cold, I am cold.MRMacrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01414173517957120477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37888568.post-11538313318619544452007-11-15T14:13:00.000-06:002007-11-15T14:13:00.000-06:00Haha Badger, I think the last 'dude night ride I w...Haha Badger, I think the last 'dude night ride I went on, you were sportin' the long jersey in the lower 60's. Of course, I hadn't quite acclimated either. I was feeling kinda chilly with just a wicking t-shirt up top.Noahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15271155305943176738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37888568.post-41132414890319347292007-11-15T13:25:00.000-06:002007-11-15T13:25:00.000-06:00You would never know that I came from the frozen t...You would never know that I came from the frozen tundra...but anything below 70 degrees and I break out the tights and lightweight wool long sleeve jersey. I realized this when I went to take the poll myself. DOH!

Unfortunately, I cannot add options or edit the existing ones. I can just delete the poll and start from scratch. :(Noahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15271155305943176738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37888568.post-91608257048787802342007-11-15T09:17:00.000-06:002007-11-15T09:17:00.000-06:00we each have our achilles heel. my heel happens t...we each have our achilles heel. my heel happens to be my hands. so the first thing that i really need to add to my usual layers this time of year are full winter gloves.chrysanthalbeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08148884109240646628noreply@blogger.com
